Below are five home repairs you should never have to pay someone to do for you, they are simple enough to handle on your own.

To fix a squeaky door simply spray some WD-40 on the hinge or you can take the pins out of the hinges and apply a small amount of Vaseline to coat them.

Replacing an electrical outlet, be a little careful here. Shut the electricity off first!  Remove the front plate, remove the two screws, and connect three wires to the new outlet.

If your sink has a leak underneath, it's possible something has clogged the pipe (U-shape), simply unscrew the pipe and clean it out. If that's not it a plumber might be your next move.

Small holes in the wall can be fixed with a little spackling paste. It could possibly require some touch up paint a swell.

That toilet keeps running. Most likely it's the flapper inside the tank. Usually attached to the chain. The flappers are easy to replace and check the chain for kinks. After that you should be good to go.
