The past few years have been rough on the musical community. We’ve lost a handful of very influential artists. Among them Lemmy Kilmister, Glenn Frey, and of course – Prince. Although the loss of Prince probably hit Minnesotans the hardest, there was one loss that hit the rest of the world just as hard. I’m talking about David Bowie.

I remember the day it happened. I don’t think I had seen the world that collectively upset in 6 or 7 years. And it’s easy to understand why. The guy was an icon and definitely had a one of a kind style. Obviously, Bowie Himself will never play again (unless it’s in the form of a hologram) but that doesn’t mean you can’t experience all of his tunes live.

The Band That Fell To Earth is a David Bowie tribute band from Los Angeles, and in my opinion, they’re the best Bowie tribute out there. Do a quick YouTube search of them. You won’t be disappointed. Thankfully for we Minnesotans, The Band That Fell To Earth will be playing the Le Musique Room in St. Michael on January 12th. The show starts at 8 pm and you can get a ticket online now for as little as $22.
