Did You Know That This Chicago PD Actor is From Red Wing, Minnesota?

There have been a handful of famous people who originally hail from the great state of Minnesota.  But most of them were born here, but may have grown up somewhere else.  That would be the case of Jessica Beil.  She was born in Ely, Minnesota but she mostly grew up in Colorado.  That's probably why we never see her or her husband Justin Timberlake around the area.  Yeah, that's why.

Every once in awhile there is someone who has been successful in acting, and actually grew up in Minnesota too!

Patrick Flueger was born and raised in Red Wing, Minnesota.  He also attended Red Wing high school and graduated in 2002.  So he is really from Minnesota.  Not like people who are "kinda" from Minnesota.

His first big role was as Jeramiah in the Princess Diaries.  He was only 17.  And he didn't look at all like he does now.  One of those people who definitely got better with age.  He was more of an awkward teenager in that role.

Flueger has had roles in a few other TV shows as well as a few movies.  Mostly bit parts.  His biggest role, other than landing the role of Ruzek on Chicago PD was in the USA network series the 4400.  That series ran from 2004-2007.

Flueger also did a screen test for Captain America.  Obviously didn't get that part, but I could totally see him in it.

It's always nice to hear about people making it big... or sort of big and they are from Minnesota.  Maybe it's just me, but I always feel like most famous people come from the coasts originally.  Places where they can have many more resources to pursue their carreer.  Obviously that is not always the case.
