I think we heard about Minneapolis having a no drive thru business anymore.  That is, as far as new business goes, anyway.  They say that it causes too much congestion, threats to anyone walking and emissions from any idling cars... black ice and things like that when a long line forms.

“Conveniencing the automobile trip - making it the most convenient choice - it encourages and induces more driving, and that's not great for our environment," Treat said, adding idling cars at drive-thrus produce unnecessary emissions - while cars crossing sidewalks while entering and exiting drive-thru lanes impede pedestrians and make crossing unsafe.

Anyone who has a drive-thru currently will still have it.  There just won't be any more made.

Parking lots are going to have to get bigger. Especially if they are going to put in any more Starbucks or Caribou coffee places.  Those places generally have very small parking lots, and a lot of times it's hard to maneuver with the ones that they have.

We'll see how the backlash from this one goes.
