Most of us like to see progress around St. Cloud and the surrounding area.  Of course, we probably would all love to see more quality stores and businesses open up, getting some upgrades definitely a plus.  At least things will look nicer - in theory.

HEY LOOK - THERE IS SOMEHTING NEW HAPPENING

If you drive into Division Place Shopping Center, otherwise known as the TJ MAXX complex, you will see a bunch of blue tarps covering a whole section of the complex.  They are doing an upgrade or otherwise known as a face lift to the outside of the building.

THE BUSINESSES BEHING THE "CURTAIN" ARE STILL ACCESSIBLE

With the constuction going on, you can still get to the businesses behind the blue tarp.  Those businesses include Platos Closet, Massage Envy, Pet Evolution, PMA and more.  You just have to go around the tarp and there is a walkway available so the stores are still accessible.

WOULD BE GREAT TO FILL UP THE EMPTY SPACES THAT ARE IN MANY STRIP MALLS

The thing that would be even better is after the faceliift is completed, to add some more quality stores and businesses there.  Tuesday Morning used to be in the complex, but that closed a couple of years ago.  We do have a few other places that serve that sort of ecclectic need around the area, but some of those other types of stores tend to be a bit pricier.  The other store that used to be in St. Cloud that no longer is around is Big Lots.  Same type of store, didn't make it here in St. Cloud.  Although Big Lots didn't totally go out of business, they did close several stores.  Maybe the lesser pricing was an issue after all.  So, like the old adage says, be careful what you wish for.

THERE IS ANOTHER OPTION TO ACCESSING THE PET STORE

Pet Evolution does have a mobile grooming unit that you can take advantage of.  They will come to you and your pet instead of having to go to the groomer.  The groomer will come to you.  So, if you would rather do that, it is an option.

IS THIS THE BEST DAY TO TRY AND SELL TO A THRIFT STORE IN THE COMPLEX

Plato's Closet is one of the thrift stores in town, and you can still sell your gently used items to that store for cash!  I have heard that certain days are better than others to sell your items to Plato's Closet.  Rumor has it that Tuesdays are the best days - that is neither confirmed nor denied.  But, go ahead and try it, you don't have anything to lose by using that game plan.

Looking forward to seeing how this turns out once the tarp has been lifted.
