Whenever there is an event involving animals, especially puppies (dogs, I call all dogs puppies no matter the size or age) I am on board!  I love watching them all having so much fun.

This brings me to a fun event happening later this summer in Shakopee, specifically at the site of the Renaissance Festival.

WOOFSTOCK

What the heck is Woofstock; you may ask, just as I did.  There is not a ton of information on this event.  I'm sure more will be coming a bit closer to the event date which is August 30th through September 1st.  There is a Facebook event created by the Renaissance Festival.

Enjoy your favorite fido friend at the Woofstock weekend. It will be a pooch pal party with contests, races, treats and more! Experience a Howlin’ Hurrah!

IS PARKING AN ISSUE SIMILAR TO THE RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL

Yes.  Parking is still an issue.  The issue is that the people who live near the site don't want traffic blocking the road for hours on end every weekend.  So, the city of Shakopee has had to make some adjustments.

There are a few links with information for parking.  This is not just for Woofstock.  It is also for the Renaissance Festival.  Prepaid Parking Passes Required for Onsite Parking - https://renaissancefest.com/onsite-parking/  There is also a park and ride option.  This one is the recommended option.  Park and Ride Recommended - https://renaissancefest.com/park-ride/

TICKETS

All the tickets for each event including Woofstock and every weekend throughout the Renissance Festival are now available. You can pre-purchase your tickets using this ticket link, and then just look for the particular weekend you are interested in.
