Steely Dan’s Donald Fagen is stepping out for his fourth solo record, ‘Sunken Condos,’ coming in October.

Fagen’s recorded eight new original cuts, and also added a cover of Isaac Hayes’ ‘Out of the Ghetto’ to fill out the collection. The nine tracks on ‘Sunken Condos’ were co-produced by Fagen with Michael Leonhart.

The set finds Fagen reuniting with a number of familiar players, as Jon Herington, the Steely Dan Horns, and Freddie Washington all make guest appearances on the set. Pre-orders for the disc are currently available via Amazon. The album arrives Oct. 16.

Fagen’s most recent work came as a member of Dukes of September, an all-star outfit that also featured Boz Skaggs and Michael McDonald.
