Don’t Miss Out on These Costco Deals You May Not Know About

Some people complain about having to purchase a membership in order to shop at Costco.  Same thing with Sam's Club.  If you look at it like that, you may be right.  BUT there are so many deals you can take advantage of other than the merchandise within the warehouse that you may not realize comes along with your membership fee.

Costco offers so many other deals or "perks" to their members.  And it doesn't only benefit the top Executive Membership holders, some of these deals are available to anyone with a Costco membership.

Costco Direct

This is a benefit to everyone - you do not have to be in the store to take advantage of the great deals. You can shop online and still save.  And many of these things are "online only" items.

Costco Next

This one is also online, but it's sort of like Amazon.  These are deals that have been negotiated between Costco and a third party to bring members the best prices possible.

Optical

Yes, get great deals on your glasses and contacts.  Sometimes it's even cheaper than with your vision insurance at a regular clinic.  But, they do also accept major insurance coverage.

Pharmacy

This one is awesome - and you can use it even if you are not a Costco member.  BUT, you will get better deals and discounts if you are a member.  And get this, in most cases it is even less expensive than Good RX is.  Again, you can use that, but check the Costco price.  It's probably less. I personally use the pharmacy for all of our needs.

Travel

You can book your travel through Costco.  You can book your hotel, and/or a cruise through Costco.  Even book flights and airport transfers. And in most cases, it will cost you less than it would if you booked it yourself or used another travel agency.  At least price compare when looking at destinations.

.Gasoline

This is a great perk!  If you get the Costco Anywhere card, even if the only thing you purchase with it is the Kirkland gasoline, it's worth it.  First of all, Costco is always less expensive than any other gas station, but if you use the card, there are even more discounts!  The trick is to make sure you pay it off every month so you do really get those discounts.  The interest is kind of high. So just be mindful of that.

Discounted Gift Cards

This one is great when you are doing holiday shopping and a gift card might be the best gift.  You can get huge discounts on those gift cards to local restaurants and businesses. Totally worth it.

Insurance

You might want to check out Costco when shopping for insurance for your car, home, life and even pets.  They get a group rate, so it might be worth it to check out the rates before making a decision on what's the best way to go for your insurance needs.
