Drew Reviews Surly’s “Rocket Surgery” Hazy Ale
Personally, I'm a huge fan of craft beer. When it comes to variety, Surly brewing simply takes the cake. They offer basically any kind of beer you could imagine. From drinks suited for the casual beer drinker to passionate veteran connoisseurs of the delicious beverage, they have you covered.
I recently had the opportunity to try one of their latest concoctions - the Rocket Surgery Hazy Ale. Now, I'll be the first to admit that Surly often makes brews that are a total assault on the senses (which I love) but not every one is into that. Thankfully for those who like to keep things light, Rocket Surgery is a little more laid back. It clocks in at 5.5% ABV, so it's a very manageable drink.
It has notes of citrus as well as simcoe hops which makes for a light, fruity, crisp taste. Pretty much anyone could down one of these and have a positive experience. It makes for a nice summer drink. I give it two thumbs up.
