Emerson, Lake And Palmer-First Two Albums To Be Reissued [VIDEOS]
On September 11th The first two Emerson, Lake and Palmer albums will be reissued courtesy of Razor and Tie Entertainment, a company based out of New York.
The self-titled album Emerson, Lake and Palmer and Tarkus will be available on a three-disc deluxe edition set that will include unheard out-takes, also never before released 5.1 surround sound (six channel surround sound multichannel audio systems) which is commonly used in home theater systems, but also Stereo Mimes.
Steven Wilson(has been nominated three time for Grammy Awards) produced and engineered the project and is no stranger to re-mixing as he has worked both Jethro Tull and King Crimson for their respective 40th Anniversary editions. Steven took the original multi-track tapes for both albums that were produced by Greg Lake to remix the albums.
What's really nice is the plan is also release them on 180 audiophile vinyl also on September 11th.
Just some of what to expect on the Three disc set:
The Barbarian,
Take A Pebble,
HALL ORGAN,
ii. Lachesis PIANO SOLO,
iii. Atropos PIANO SOLO,
Tank, and
Lucky Man
Both albums will digitally mastered for iTunes by Brad Blackwood (Maroon 5,Saving Abel,Allison Krauss and Union Station)
ELP 's second album "Tarkus", produced a very unique sound a lot of symphonic style rock with the essence of classical music with songs like:
Tarkus
Eruption
Stones Of Years
Iconoclast
Mass
Manticore
The Battlefield
It's exciting to see this project come to fruition, I myself collect vinyl so I will most definitely go that route.
