Did you try to plant some flowers this spring, but maybe things didn't turn out exactly as you imagined? Don't fret about it! There is a really fun event coming up this week that you just might be interested in. Step into a floral wonderland and pick your own flowers, enjoy the farm views, and more this Wednesday.

HARVEST FLORAL GRAND OPENING AT STONEY BROOK FARMS LLC!

Harvest Floral is set to open! Come and enjoy the beauty all around this Wednesday, June 26^th, from 4 until 7 pm at Stoney Brook Farms Inc., located at 989 115^th Avenue NE in Foley.

You can pick your own flowers! Harvest Floral at Stoney Brook Farms Inc., will have flowers and vases for you on hand for purchase. Some of the varieties of flowers for you to pick include:

Cosmos
Dianthus
Ammobium
Strawflower
Gomphrena
Statice
Ageratum
Snapdragon
Celosia
Craspedia
Zinnia
Salvia and more

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

1. Before you attend the event, it is recommended that you wear the appropriate footwear. Bare feet? Not an option. They don't want anyone getting stung by bees, and the paths are green, but they are a bit uneven in areas, so wear appropriate footwear. Tennis shoes or garden boots might be a good idea.

2. They are requesting that you leave your pets at home. The flowers can get easily trampled by happily romping dogs and puppies; so let's leave our pooches at home, so everyone who arrives after you leave, can still enjoy the remaining beautiful flowers.

3. Harvest Floral is asking you to only cut the blooms that are ready for picking, and that you will be adding to your vase; please...don't cut any dead blooms.

4. Finally, understand that it could get hot out there. The flower patch is in direct sunlight so wearing a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen is recommended.

PARKING

There will be parking in a designated area. You are advised not to park at the house or in the driveway. Parking is in the designated area near the flower shed.

ARE YOU TAKING PHOTOS OR PICKING FLOWERS?

You are welcome to do either activity or both; however, if you are JUST taking pictures of flowers, there is a $3 charge per group/family. If you are picking flowers, Harvest Floral will send you over to the table of vases, clippers, and water spigot. You must choose the vase size that you want, and then fill it with water, grab some clippers along with your vase, and head out to get your flowers. Pricing will be available.

There are instructions on how to properly cut EACH individual flower on placards, so please read the instructions before you cut them.

WHAT IS ON-SITE

If you are looking to get some great photos, the Garden Shed Store is filled with flower related merch, and cards for your bouquets as well as jams and jellies, local honey, fresh Stoney Brook Farms produce, and a large swing for some really fun, unique pictures opportunities.
