Fabulous Armadillos, It Doesn’t Get Much Better

A true Minnesota treasure is the band Fabulous Armadillos.  If you haven't seen them play, you are missing something very special.

A year ago, I got a chance to see and hear the Armadillos play at Moondance Jam. It was opening night and they sounded just as good if not better than any band I heard the rest of the weekend.

I was talking to an agent the next day and mentioned how great I thought the Fabulous Armadillos sounded the night before. He just smiled and said "Yeah, it's kind of a joke in the business. The most talented musicians in Minnesota are all in the same band".

Making up the Fabulous Armadillos are Greg "Gary D" Armstrong on keyboards, Paul "Stretch" Diethelm on guitar, Billy Scherer on vocals, Pamela McNeill (Wow) on vocals, Mike Zeleny on bass, Jay O'Donnell on drums and the horn section made up of Pat Thorn on trumpet and Mike Krietzer on sax.
