Fmr Pres Bush Responds to the Backlash Ellen Received

Well, more on that story about former President Bush and Ellen DeGeneres sitting together at the Cowboys/Packers game last Sunday.  Apparently he didn't even realize there was an issue until he saw her address it on her show.  And he agrees with her.

Just to refresh, here is what she said after receiving some tweets that the LGBT community was upset with her laughing and talking and sitting next to George and Laura Bush.

“Here’s the thing: I’m friends with George Bush. In fact, I’m friends with a lot of people who don’t share the same beliefs that I have. We’re all different and I think that we’ve forgotten that we’re all different,” DeGeneres explained in front of her audience. “For instance, I wish people wouldn’t wear fur. I don’t like it, but I’m friends with people who wear fur and I’m friends with people who are furry, as a matter of fact.”

Again, I say, can't we all just get along?  Be kind to everyone... even kinder to the ones that you dislike wholeheartedly.
