Foreigner Lead Singer Headlines Downtown Concert Event

ST. CLOUD -- The powerful voice from one of rock music's most successful bands is coming to downtown St. Cloud for the 2016 Takin' It to the Streets concert event.

Lou Gramm, who sang lead vocals for the band Foreigner, will headline the July 30th event that also features local acts Collective Unconscious, Transit Authority and Allman Joy.

"Landing Lou Gramm to come to Takin' It to the Streets is something pretty special to me," says Dan Barth, owner of Pioneer Place. "I think Foreigner is near and dear to everybody's heart and we're thrilled."

"I love downtown St. Cloud so much and to bring this quality of entertainment to downtown is something truly special and we're really proud of it."

With Gramm as lead singer, Foreigner charted 16 #1 hits in the 1980s including "Juke Box Hero," "Feels Like the First Time," and "I Want to Know What Love Is."

Barth says this year will be bigger and better than ever in a geographical sense, as the concert will take up a portion of 1st Street North along with 5th Avenue.

Takin' It to the Streets started in 2013 as a 100th anniversary celebration of the Pioneer Place building at 22 5th Avenue South in St. Cloud.
