There has been several artists and other entertainment announced for the Grandstand shows at the Minnesota State Fair.  However, not everyone can afford, or wants to go see the shows in the Grandstand, so here comes a bunch of free entertainment that is sprinkled around the fairgrounds.

YOU CAN SEE SOME REALLY GREAT ARTISTS ON SOME OF THE FREE STAGES

I was surprised to see some national artists on some of those free stages throughout the fairgrounds.  It's pretty cool when that happens.  Just hang out for a time, then get up and walk around again if you want to, or just take a load off and sit down and hang out for the whole show.  Price is the same - FREE!  Well, free with your fair admission prices.

DISCOUNTED TICKETS AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW THROUGH THE FAIR WEBSITE

And speaking of fair admission prices, the discounted tickets are still available.  You can link to that, and get your tickets ahead of time.  For future reference, there is one day - I seem to remember that being in December, when you can buy tickets ahead of time for the lowest price of the coming season.  And the tickets are good for any day that you would like to go.  During the fair, there are discounted tickets too, but those are good for special days, honoring specific groups of people. It might be military day, senior day, kids day, etc.

PLAN YOUR VISIT TO THE FAIR AROUND THE DATES WITH ARTISTS YOU WANT TO SEE

If you want to know exactly who is playing when and on what stage so you can plan your visit accordingly, you can check out those specifics here.

MAKE SURE TO SEE THE GRANDSTAND VENDORS EVEN IF NOT GOING TO A SHOW

And always remember to head into the Grandstand, even if you are not going to a show.  Inside the grandstand are so many vendors, demonstrations and so much more.  But go early, as it can get very crowded and hot in that space.

Who's already ready for the fair?
