SUPPORT OUR FURRY FRIENDS

Our friends over at The Tri-County Humane Society have had an interesting year, just like the rest of us. The Companion Walk will be a virtual walk this year, and is coming up.  A great fundraiser for TCHS each year, the silent auction for the event is going to start this Saturday, September 5th.

As a matter of fact, with the new TCHS facility that was desperately needed, now we need to make sure the funds are still coming in.

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE 'VIRTUAL' COMPANION WALK 2020

Each year, the Society provides services for over 3,000 animals. Each animal is evaluated, examined, given necessary and appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, spayed/neutered, treated for ailments and injuries as needed, and given lots of love.

There is no time limit for pets in their care, and as long as they pass health and behavior screenings, they will remain in the care of TCHS as long as it takes to find the right forever home.

On average, pets are adopted in less than ten days, and they regularly place well over 90% of the pets that come thru their doors.

This fundraising event is vital for these important services to pets in need. I know that my friends at TCHS love animals, and hope that you feel the same way. Animals can't speak for themselves, and it's our duty as a community to make sure that we provide care; even if we don't have a pet in our home.

ONE OF A KIND TCHS QUILT
There are a bunch of really cool items up for auction this Saturday. A one of a kind hand-quilted, double-sided, t-shirt memory quilt that contains years of memories from TCHS Companion Walks on the front and other cool TCHS t-shirts on the back. Amazing quilted detail to keep you warm as you reminisce about past TCHS events.

PAINTING
A beautiful 11" x 15" watercolor entitled "Sunset Sunset" that was painted directly from the scene in about 1 hour. Dan Mondloch, the painter of this pictures says his, "inspiration was to try to capture the beautiful fleeting light of the last few hours of a late summer evening".

NAME A LITTER OF KITTENS
I thought this was one of the most clever ideas they've come up with. Yoda, Chewy, Luke, C3PO...here I come.
