Not that it wasn't a fantastic pitching performance last night, but it took a superman eighth inning catch by San Francisco's outfielder Hunter Pence to keep Tim Lincecum's no-hitter alive. Lincecum did the rest against the Padres to record his first career no-hit game.

The 9-0 win at San Diego was the 15th no-hitter in San Francisco Giants history. Lincecum needed a career high 148 pitches to get the job done. Lincecum, who becomes a free agent at the end of this season, has won the Cy Young Award twice in his career.
