Ringling Bros & Barnum & Bailey Circus Coming to Minnesota This Fall
I think almost since the beginning of any sort of mordern world, kids and families have loved going ot the circus. It's fun to watch all of the acrobatics and stunts that the cast does during the show. Sometimes it's like death defying stunts. It's always the thought of "will they be able to do it"? And usually yes. There have been those tragic accidents here and there - but most of the time it's fine. We never want anything to go wrong, ovviously.
THERE HAVE BEEN SOME CHANGES FROM WHAT USED TO HAPPEN
Recently, there have been those times when subjects like animal cruelty and controversial freak shows have been taken away. No more are the days of so-called freak shows halting both at circus events and also at the state fair. I do remember when the Minnesota State Fair would have the "snake lady" or the "lobster man" or something like the "bearded lady". Those times are long gone.
THERE ARE NO LONGER ANY ANIMALS FEATURED IN THE CIRCUS
Now, Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus no longer has any lions tigers or bears (oh my). The whole show is now human based, so lots of stunts and fun acrobatics. Oh, and if you are afraid of clowns, most of the shows have nixed that too.
From USA TODAY:
So families will no longer gasp when a man puts his head into a lion's mouth, or cheer as an elephant dunks a basketball. Instead, they'll be asked to react to a family of Mexican tightrope walkers who are pushing the limits of their craft; to applaud a circus-obsessed kid who keeps breaking his own record for riding the tallest unicycle; and to cheer on teen Skyler Miser, a human rocket newbie whose parents Tina and Brian also were Ringling human rockets.
THE CIRCUS IS COMING TO MINNESOTA THIS FALL
