Guns N’ Roses Plays First Show In A Year [VIDEO]
Saturday night in Brazil, Guns N' Roses was the closer at the annual Rock In Rio festival.
And yes, before you even ask, Axl was two hours late getting on stage.
Disrespectful to the other acts, disrespectful to the promoters and crew, disrespectful to the fans and ticket buyers.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Axl, it doesn't make you some mercurial, mysterious, controversial rock star.
It makes you dull.
Thus, according to reports, a large portion of the crowd vanished about halfway through the set.
In all fairness, the festival was hampered by heavy rains.
But then again, why make the fans stand in it an extra two hours?
They opened with the title track to "Chinese Democracy" and it was reportedly a tad underwhelming.
Those in attendance described Rose's voice as weak and out of shape.
But some also stated that at times, like any aging master, Axl and the band returned to prime form, particularly on the GnR classics.
The band is scheduled to hit Target Center November 13th.
Saturday night's set list went as follows:
