Last night was a time when all sorts of kids head out to trick or treat for Halloween otherwise known as "Free Candy Day".  Lots of families take a lot of time to put together costumes for their littles, and it's supposed to be a good time just going door to door and getting a few pieces of candy.

Sometimes the houses that you go to might just have a bowl of candy set outside because they are either busy doing something else, or maybe they just aren't home.  But either way, if there is a bowl of candy outside a door, be a nice person and just take a couple of pieces.  Or, you could be a complete jerk and do something like this:

This is not necessary. I am the first one to say that trick or treating is for any age.  It's free candy day. And if someone is going to take the time to put a costume on and go door to door then give them some candy.  In this case from the video above, the "grinch" didn't even make an effort with a costume.  Unless they are going as a "hunter" which is possible, camo hoodie.  Lazy, but whatever.

Luckily, there were a couple other trick or treaters that were dressed as bananas, or at least that's what it looks like, thwarted the grinch and even helped to put the candy that spilled all over back into the bowl.

When things like this happen it makes a person feel like "this is why we can't have nice things".

If there is a bowl left outside your door, I do understand that you are running a risk that someone might just do what this person tried to do, but also, just be a nice person.  How much candy do you need?  Be a good person, go door to door like everyone else and take home your candy haul.  Don't ruin it for everyone else.

Hope the rest of you had a great Halloween evening.
