GLASS PUMPKINS

This event is happening this weekend.  Actually, it starts today, Friday and runs through to Sunday.  And as far as the weather goes, if you wanted another blast of summer before Fall hits, this is the time to be outside enjoying the warm weather.

Over the course of three days, 6,000+ stunning handmade glass pumpkins and garden art will be displayed and sold surrounded by the Arboretum’s gorgeous fall gardens. This is a rain or shine event.

One of the artists, Shannon Jane Morgan, has a theme of "out in the field" and all the glass work is unique and very stylized.  Super cool to see.  There are about 30 pieces in her collection.

GLASS BLOWING

This would be really cool to see.  It's amazing how glass is maide, and here you can see it actually being done.

ADMISSION

Your ticket will be on a timed entry.  That way they try and avoid any sort of over crowding during the event.

Your Arboretum timed admission ticket includes this special event, glass-blowing demonstrations and access to the Arboretum. Tickets are free for members and $20 for non-members (includes admission to the entire Arboretum).

LOCATION

The event is put on by the University of Minnesota's Landscape Arboretum.  It is actually held at the Snyder Building and Morgan Terrace.  9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12 and Saturday, Sept. 13
9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14

Hopefully, if you want to attend this cool event, one of those times will work for you.  Details and to get tickets, whether you are a member and they are free, or if you are purchasing, you need a ticket either way.  Check out the website for more information.
