Homework Not Done, St Thomas Student Calls In Bomb Threats
A lot of pressure comes with being a college student. Homework, studying for tests, etc. The key is to be prepared for classes and exams.
If for some reason, you are not prepared or you failed to finish your homework due that day. What do you do? Ask your instructor for extra time? Chances are that won't fly without a pretty good excuse.
Well, student at St Thomas, Ray Persaud came up with probably the worst possible way to avoid getting in trouble for not having his homework done. He called in a bomb threat to the school. Not just once, but 3 times.
Persaud, a 21 year old former student at St Thomas in the Cities, last year phoned in 3 different bomb threats to the school. The threats were made on April 17th, August 20th and September 20th. All were made because Persaud had failed to complete his homework on time.
Persaud tried to cover his tracks by using an app that blocks his number but there's always someone smarter. In his case I would say most are smarter. The federal investigators were able to trace the number back to Persaud.
He pleaded guilty to one of the bomb threat charges and the other charges were dismissed. He will be sentenced at a later date this year. I wish him the best but I don't think judges take bomb stuff lightly nowadays.
