With all the cancellations and disruptions going on in today's world, it's hard to know what to believe anymore. Yesterday (Thursday), there was an online hoax stating the Minnesota's fishing season was canceled, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the Minnesota Dept of Natural Resources, fishing season is NOT canceled and in fact they, like the governor, encourage people to get outdoors. Keeping your distance is still recommended but fresh air will do you good while being cooped up so much.

The DNR put this up on their Twitter page yesterday,

Rumor alert! There's a fake social media post circulating that suggests the 2020 fishing season is closed in Minnesota. It's not true! The fishing season remains open.
