Well, it's that time of year again. It's time for the big Benton County Fair.

I used to love the fair.  Especially as a kid. It wasn't the Benton County Fair but the one where I grew up.  Not much difference. They are pretty much all the same. As a kid i think my friends and I were there every day, all day.

I never see this one game on the midway anymore. But I used to play it often as a kid. It was a counter with red and white squares, like a checker board. The squares were separated by black lines. The deal was you could put any amount of quarters on a square of the cooler you chose. then you would throw a dart at a big board made up of like squares. If the dart landed on your color square, you would double your money. If it landed on the black line it was 3 to 1 odds. That's right, it was straight up gambling and we ate it up. It was great being a kid back then.

I'm sure there is still a lot of cool stuff to do at the fair. Heck, just people watching can be entertaining.
