Minnesota Aftermarket ATV Parts Company Saved My Polaris
There aren't enough good reviews out there these days. Usually people only leave a review when they have a bad experience, so I wanted to reassure anyone who's considering buying an aftermarket part. I've typically never trusted them, but this time I was left with no other option after the part was discontinued.
I dusted off our old family atv that was in the back of the pole building. It's sat for at least 5 years, and had 5 year old gas (or you could call it paint thinner) in the tank. My goal was to resurrect this machine and its plow for clearing snow. I know it needed some TLC, but I like to tinker and I was up for the challenge.
To my shock, it started up relatively quickly. It struggled to idle, I hit the throttle a little, and then it died. I tried to start it again about a dozen times and no luck.

I drained the gas out of the tank (if you can even call it that), and I got to the carburetor. This 2000 Polaris Xplorer 250 has always had an issue with the carb. It's always ran just decent enough that it wasn't worth the effort to rebuild the carburetor, but now it needed to happen.
The carb was really dirty, and I had a hard time even getting it open to clean out the bowl. On a whim, I googled the replacement Polaris part number. It was discontinued by Polaris, but I found a brand new aftermarket carburetor from Quad Logic for $129.95. Quad Logic is a powersports company in Ramsey, Minnesota.
It came in the mail a few days later. After a couple of minutes and a quick youtube video, I learned how to attach the throttle cables. I turned on the machine, thumbed the starter, and it started instantly. It runs better than it ever has, it no longer stalls out, and it really didn't need any adjustments. After a while, I did end up turning down the idle a little, but that's all I needed to do.
It was worth the money, and I'll keep them in mind for future ATV part purchases.
