Four Holiday Tours Start In Little Falls On Friday
LITTLE FALLS (WJON News) -- You can take in four unique holiday tours in Little Falls starting on Friday. The city has a Christmas experience at the Linden Hill Historic Estate, Charles A. Weyerhaeuser Museum, Charles Lindbergh House, and the Minnesota Fishing Museum. People can tour each location separately or all four sites as part of a group package.
Little Falls Area Chamber Tourism and Marketing Director Sabrina Koelsch says each site has something special to offer:
"The Charles Weyerhaeuser Memorial Museum is also open and they have the famous Nutcracker suite where people can tour the history of that museum and also play the fun game of counting the Nutcrackers and that has been kind of a tradition in the Little Falls area that a location in Little Falls has those Nutcrackers and a lot of kids find that one a lot of fun."
She says there is a huge variety of nutcrackers to see and the Weyerhaeuser Museum tour is free to attend. Koelsch says the fishing museum turns into Christmas Tree Lane plus has other fun features:
"And there's over 75 trees and wreaths that are fully decorated that people can bid on and take home and they also have Santa Claus there on Saturdays that you can take photos with."
Koelsch says they have been doing the tours for about 10 years and people from all over the state come to see the four sites. She says it takes over 200 volunteers to get all four locations decorated and the tours are the biggest fundraiser of the year for them
The cost of the Linden Hill tour is $15 and $10 for the Lindbergh House or Fishing Museum tours and the tours run until December 8th. Click on this link to get more information about the tours.
