There’s a brand-new spot at the Mall of America that’s turning heads—and screens. This high-tech haven lets you play, test, and explore the latest gadgets like never before, blurring the line between shopping and pure tech adventure.

It's not a shock to say that Minnesotans-- and pretty much everyone else-- have a love affair going with our mobile devices, right? They're always either in our hands or nearby, and we spend hours staring at their screens.

We buy a lot of those devices, too. According to Consumer Affairs, global shipments of smartphones reached approximately 1.17 billion units in 2023, up 7.8 percent from the previous year. That trend continued into 2024, with shipments rising by over 6 percent to 1.24 billion units.

Minnesota Smartphone Sales Continue to Soar

Here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, we're responsible for roughly 1 percent of that total, meaning around 1.6 million smartphones were sold in Minnesota last year. And now there's a new high-tech store that will likely help that figure increase.

The Mall of America (MOA) said the first-ever Samsung Experience store in the entire North Star State is set to open on Friday, October 24, 2025, at its location in Bloomington.

Explore the First Samsung Experience Store in Minnesota

According to a press release, MOA said this is not only the only store of its kind in our fair state  but is also one of only a few that are now open across the country:

The Samsung Experience will give Minnesotans an opportunity to explore, personalize, and interact with the latest Galaxy technology through an immersive, hands-on environment. Inside the store, guests can experience the full Galaxy collection from smartphones, laptops, and tablets to smartwatches and other tech accessories, plus the latest Galaxy AI tools.

Hands-On Tech Meets Personalized Support at MOA

The release also noted that the new store 'blends innovation with interaction through live demonstrations, interactive displays, and one-on-one support from Samsung experts,' and will provide 'personalized guidance, product recommendations, and set-up assistance,' the release said.

While I've not been there in person, this new store sounds similar to what you might find at the Apple Store, which is also located at MOA, at 114 West Market. MOA said the new Samsung Experience Store will be located on Level 1, South.

All 37 Minnesota Restaurants that Have Been Featured on the Food Network

Many Minnesota restaurants have been featured on the Food Network over the years. Some have closed now, but I checked out the Food Networks website, the Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives website, and TVFoodMaps.com to find all of the Minnesota restaurants that have been featured on their channel in the past and found these 37 (in no particular order) that are still open.
