Rod Stewart Forced To Cancel Minnesota State Fair Gig, Others Due To Health
Rod Stewart fans hoping to see the legendary singer at the Minnesota State Fair later this summer were dealt some bad news on Tuesday when Stewart announced the cancellation of four weeks worth of shows- including the Great Minnesota Get-Together gig scheduled for September 1st.
ROD STEWART HEALTH UPDATE
Following further medical evaluation, Sir Rod Stewart has successfully undergone a routine coronary stent procedure. Doctors are pleased with his recovery, and Rod is doing very well and has returned to his normal daily activities. On the advice of his doctors, he will take the next four weeks to recuperate and regain full fitness before returning to the stage. Unfortunately, this means he will be unable to continue his current tour dates.
Information regarding affected performances will be communicated by the respective promoters and venues.
ROD STEWART REFUNDS MN STATE FAIR
The State Fair says that ticket sales for the show have been suspended and refunds will be issued. Tickets purchased with a credit card will be automatically refunded to the card, tickets purchased with checks/cash should be returned via mail and the Fair reminds ticketholders that they cannot assist with tickets purchased through a third party.
ROD STEWART REPLACEMENT MN STATE FAIR GRANDSTAND
Richard Marx was slated to be the opening act for Stewart. The Fair says on its website that 'updated information regarding a September 1st Grandstand concert are forthcoming.'
