Jane’s Addiction Featured On 80’s At 8 With “Jane Says” [VIDEO]
Another one of those bands classified as Alternative Rock from Los Angeles.
Perry Farrell (vocals), Dave Navarro (guitar), Eric Avery (bass) and Stephen Perkins (drums) was the original line-up til around 1991. They re-united a couple different times(1997 & 2001) but both without Eric Avery (he re-unite with the band in 2008 briefly).
The first farewell tour was what was instrumental in the creation of Lollapalooza (an alternative rock festival) by Perry Farrell & Marc Geiger.
Nine Inch Nails, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Butthole Surfers, Fishbone, The Rollins Band, The Violent Femmes, Body Count, and Ice-T were the first Lollapalooza showcase.
The band ranked 35th on VH1's "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock" list.
"Jane Say's" a song of reality basically about a girl named Jane (Bainter who lives in Los Angeles and over her drug problems) who had an abusive boyfriend, she also had a heroin problem and they both lived in a group house (not Group home) with others in the Hollywood area.
