State Fair Artist Joan Jett Settles Lawsuit Against Hot Topic
Joan Jett has settled her lawsuit against teeny-bopper-wanna-be-hard-core-asinine-emo-mall-rat retailer Hot Topic.
Joan Jett filed suit against Hot Topic last year claiming that they were using her trademarked logo for Blackheart Records on some of their merch without her knowledge or permission.
Joan argued that Hot Topic intentionally used her logo on some lingerie items called “Lingerie for Girls Who Rock & Roll”. Joan accused the retailer of false advertising and unfair competition and claimed that they were looking to make a profit off of consumer confusion.
The details of the settlement were not disclosed, but the matter is now put to rest. Neither side has commented.
Joan Jett will be playing the Minnesota State Fair this year with Journey. That show happens on September 1.
