There are really only a handful of singer-songwriters in the history music that made a long term impact on pop culture. Some of them being Bob Dylan, Bob Seger, Kurt Cobain, Bruce Springsteen and James Taylor.

Of course, another name that has to make the list is the one and only – John Waite. John is one of the most influential songwriters of all time. I didn’t really appreciate his music until after he went into semi-retirement, but now looking back at his catalogue of music, I have a new found respect for it.

Although it's been quite a while since John has released any new music, I'm thankful that he's at least still touring. John Waite will be coming to Minnesota – playing the Buck Concert Series in Burnsville (a 3 day event.) He'll be sharing the stage with Don Felder and Them Pesky Kids. The show will take place on Friday, July 12th. Doors open at 4 pm with music starting at 5:30 pm and tickets are available online now.
