Journey Guitarist Showering New Girlfriend with Expensive Gifts?

Either Journey guitarist Neal Schon sounds like he's going off the deep end or he's never heard the term "gold digger".

TMZ is reporting that Neal bought his girlfriend of less than two months a $350 thousand dollar Bentley convertible. He also reportedly took her to upscale lingerie retailer La Perla and spent over ten thousand dollars on bras and underwear for her. Doesn't he know it all looks the same on the floor?

Word of Neal's relationship with former Real D.C. Housewife Michaele Salahi surfaced in mid-September when her estranged husband Tareq reported her missing and feared abducted. Turns out she was not abducted, but rather that she had run off with the band.

Neal says their whirlwind romance has been nothing short of a fairy tale, he has been waiting 15 years for her and that he is "very happy". His wife of two months, Ava Fabian however, is pissed off.

Meanwhile, Journey is nominated for an award at the Billboard Touring Awards later on this fall. They're up for Legends of Live for their longevity as a touring act and their contributions to the concert experience. They're also one of 25 acts nominated for the Fan's Choice Award. The awards ceremony will close the 8th annual Billboard Touring Conference November 9th and 10th.
