Like most people, music has played an enormous role in my life. Both of my parents are excellent musicians and growing up, I even had the luxury of being able to spend time in the recording studio they owned.

As I got older I decided I’d like to attempt to be a musician myself, so I picked up guitar and started writing my own songs. Guitar came relatively easy to me, then I decided I wanted to be a vocalist as well. I’ve been trying to sing for years, but for some reason I’ve never been able to get the hang of it.

I’m always impressed when I’m in the presence of someone with a great voice who can truly sing, and I’ll take any opportunity to check out musicians and vocalists who are far superior to me. That’s why I’m pretty interested in attending the Minnesota Guest Vocal Recital at the Lloyd Ultan Recital Hall (at the University of Minnesota School of Music, in Minneapolis.)

The vocalists performing will be Jaime Rose Guarrine (a soprano singer) and Seth Keeton (a bass/baritone singer.) You can see their performance on March 26th at 6 p.m. No ticket is required to attend and seating is free.
