“King Size” Beagle Is This Week’s Adoptable Pet
Laura and I talked to Kate from Tri County Human Society this morning about an unusual dog up for adoption this week. Captain is an appropriate name for this boy because he appears to be a beagle but weighs in at a hefty 65 pounds. He's a big boy.
Say hello to Captain! Came to TCHS due to his previous family no longer being able to care for him. Is a very sweet boy with LOTS of energy. Is used to an outdoor lifestyle and may be best continuing this (with adequate shelter for our MN climate!).
Is used to a country lifestyle and loves to chase his people on golf carts and 4-wheelers and will need a large yard. Can be an escape artist with kennels and a covered kennel is a must! His previous owners attempted to use him for hunting racoons, but he was not interested. Is not housetrained.

His previous family was cautious around small dogs and cats due to his hunting breed, but he left the outdoor cats alone. Has done well with other large dogs. Did well with children in the home, but can knock little ones over.
Could Captain be the right fit for you? Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, micro-chipping, vaccinating, de-worming, any medical procedures and general care.
