The Kimball-based ski hill announced the season closure Saturday afternoon via its social media.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the official end of our 2024/2025 season. The damage caused by the sun, extremely high temperatures, and substantial rainfall we experienced last night has been significant. With temperatures expected to remain in the 50s over the coming week, recovery is not feasible.

According to an ski website there are still a handful of ski hills and resorts open, even Buck Hill in Burnsville is still snow covered and was packing in the skiers this weekend.

The ski/snowboard season won't have much longer left for fans of the sport, many resorts will be closed by the end of March or early April and then are getting ready to turn over for mountain biking season, for those hills that operate year round.
