When I was a kid, I went through a phase when I thought I wanted to be a detective or a secret agent. The thrill of cracking codes, solving mysteries, and piecing clues together was something I always loved. Not to mention, the prospect of being involved in dangerous situations, like coming into contest with criminals, seemed cool.

Of course, I eventually grew out of this when I discovered that being a secret agent was legitimately dangerous and frightening work. But my strategic instincts and love for mystery never completely faded. I’m always looking for playful ways to express the detective in me without having to actually put myself in any real danger.

If you’re in the same boat as myself, you might want to check out “The Dinner Detective: Murder Mystery Show.”  It’s America's largest interactive mystery-comedy-dinner show.  You’ll solve a hilarious murder case while you feast on a  four-course dinner.

The killer will be hiding somewhere in the room disguised as a guest, and you may find yourself as a prime suspect. I think it sounds like a “killer” time. Buh-duh-tss. Yeah, that was bad. I won’t quit my day job. You can check out “The Dinner Detective: Murder Mystery Show” on March 17th from 6 pm to 9:15 pm at Courtyard, downtown Minneapolis. Tickets are roughly $70.
