ST. CLOUD - Reading and math tutors are needed in the St. Cloud metro for this upcoming school year.

The Minnesota Reading and Math Corps say they have an immediate need for 15 literacy tutors and seven math tutors beginning this fall. Both full and part-time tutors are being recruited.

There are open positions across St. Cloud schools:

  • Lincoln Elementary
  • Madison Elementary
  • North Junior High
  • Oak Hill Community School
  • South Junior High
  • Stride Academy
  • Talahi Community School
  • Westwood Elementary
  • Southside Boys and Girls Club

Tutors are also needed at Kennedy Community School in St. Joseph and Pine Meadow Elementary in Sartell.

Tutors commit to 11-months of service, during which they can earn $544 for full time work every two weeks and an education award of up to $5,775 to pay for further education or repay student loans. Tutors 55 or older can gift the education award to their child, grandchild or foster child.

Literacy and math tutors are fully trained by Reading Corps and Math Corps.
