It's that wonderful time of year again...at least if you are a Star Wars fan.  This coming Sunday is May 4th, otherwise known as Star Wars day because May the 4th (force) be with you.  We are all so clever, aren't we?

There are a few ways to celebrate this "holiday" and it can be fun.  Just be silly and have fun with this made-up holiday.  I'mm ok with it being made up.  It's fun.

There are some theatres around the metro area that will be running some Star Wars movies.

According to Bring Me the News, these are a couple of the theatres and a brewery that will be running a series of Star Wars flicks

The Parkway is kicking off a month-long series of Star Wars movies with a screening of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) on May the Fourth. After that, the first three movies, plus The Force Awakens, will play once a week through May 31. Episode IV - A New Hope (1977) at Bald Man Brewing in Eagan and all three in the original trilogy during the party we're talking about next. The Parkway Theater, 4814 Chicago Ave., Minneapolis

There is also a "Jedi 5K" that you can participate in.  Why not celebrate Star Wars day and get some exercise at the same time?  This is taking place at Back Channel Brewing.  Everyone is welcome, including the puppies!  That is, if you have one that will make it the 3+ miles before pooping out.  My dog will just sit down after about a mile, so I wind up carrying him  Maybe I could dress him up in an EWOK costume.  Or R2D2, that would work too.  Looks like it's going to be a great day on Sunday, so why not?

Back Channel Brewing is located on Shorline Drive in Spring Park.  The Fun Run starts at 11am.  Participants are encouraged to dress up as their favorite character from any of the Star Wars movies.  More information on this event on their website.

I did check to see if Parkwood Theatre in Waite Park was running anything for the special day.  Nothing on their website now, but check back within the next couple of days, it could change.
