This girl, I mean, look at her pictures.  She just looks like she needs a friend in the biggest way.  Kuda is a St. Bernard mix, and definitely doesn't look like a traditional St. Bernard other than her head.  When I think of St. Bernard, I think of a big fluffy oaf of a dog like in the movie "Beethoven" from 1992.  If you haven't seen it, you really should take a minute and watch it.

Kuda is about 3 years old, and she is available for adoption at the Tri County Humane Society.  She has been spayed, and is housetrained.  That's such a bonus!  She isn't a puppy, but she still has a lot of years left since she is only 3.  But past the puppy stage.  She was brought to the TCHS because she doesn't do great with other dogs/pets in the home.  So she should probably be the only pet in the home.

If you would like to see if Kuda would be a good fit for your home/family, it's best to come in and have a meet and greet with her.  Actually, since she is a bit leery around new people, probably schedule a few of those visits.  She will get to know you and you will get to know her and see if she is a good fit.  If you look at her face in the pictures, as I mentioned, she looks like she really needs a good friend.  Doggie classes would be a good idea too. Socialization is key. And some obedience training wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Make an appointment to see Kuda, and all of the pets that are available for adoption at the Tri-County Humane Society.  You can always just stop in too, but appointments are recommended.

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.

LOOK: Here Are 30 Foods That Are Poisonous to Dogs

To prepare yourself for a potential incident, always keep your vet's phone number handy, along with an after-hours clinic you can call in an emergency. The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center also has a hotline you can call at (888) 426-4435 for advice.

Even with all of these resources, however, the best cure for food poisoning is preventing it in the first place. To give you an idea of what human foods can be dangerous, Stacker has put together a slideshow of 30 common foods to avoid. Take a look to see if there are any that surprise you.
