Back in the late 70's and early 80's Germany's "Scorpions" were on top of the Metal World,  and despite all the changes in the music landscape they've remained one of the worlds biggest rock acts.Their twin guitar attack of Mattias Jabs and Rudolph Schenker was duplicated by many but never mastered like the German duo.  Klaus Meine's unique vocals  were just as much of a signature of the band.

The Scorpions were actually around for quite some time before hitting it big in America with "Blackout" in 1982.  But when "Love At First Sting" came out in 1984 it solidified them as one of the biggest bands on the planet, not just in the Metal world.

It spawned two major hits, "Rock You Like A Hurricane" and "Still Loving You" that are still staples on Classic Rock Station.  Then, after another album and a live release the 80's were coming to a close and it seemed bands like the Scorpions would be dying off, but it was not to be.  In 1990 they released "Crazy World" with the track "Wind Of Change" (not exactly Metal" but it introduced another generation to the band and brought them more mainstream success.

For those of you who listened to "Love At First Sting" about a thousand times like I did, you'll get goosebumps when you hear the guitars from "Bad Boys Running Wild", the opening track from their multi-platinum release.
