Metallica And Lou Reed Recording An Album Together

When Metallica announced they were going back into the studio earlier this year we assumed they would probably be working on another 'Garage Days' cover album series. Now we know that's not the case. Instead Metallica has teamed up with Lou Reed! The band says they are "90 percent" finished with the album. The 10 all new songs were written by Reed, with arrangement help from the band.

There is no release date for the untitled album as of yet, since neither Reed or Metallica are tied to a record deal.
