Metallica Crashes The Colbert Report Tonight [VIDEO]

As if winning an Emmy for Outstanding Writing For A Variety Series wasn't enough, The Colbert Report is about to get the 'Metallica Bump'. In conjunction with their 3D IMAX movie 'Through The Never', Lars, James, Kirk and Robert will perform during one of the segments Tuesday night (Sept 24) and we assume they'll hawk their movie, too.

Usually when a guest comes on The Colbert Report, Stephen refers to it as 'The Colbert Bump', a proven promotional effect that comes from being on his show, that results in increased sales of your product, tome of music or book.

But tonight, I'd venture to guess, Stephen will be the beneficiary of Metallica's fan-base tuning in.
