Minneapolis SWAT Get New Uniforms

After complaints by citizens that the Minneapolis SWAT team's green uniforms make them look like a "militarized agency", the Minneapolis’ Special Weapons and Tactics team is changing its look.

Minneapolis SWAT will be changing from the green uniforms to either navy blue or black ones. The green ones had been used for decades.

The armored vehicles will also be changed from green to black.

This process could take up to 3 years to be complete.
