Some of the Best Fall Festivals to Explore in Minnesota
This past weekend St Cloud just had Festi-Fall and it was a great success. The weather was nice, people were out and about and it was all in all a great day. Getting people more excited for Fall and everything that comes with that. The leaves are starting to change, the air will (eventually) get a little more crisp, and people will be ready for cider, pumpkins, apples and other fun fall activities.
FALL FESTIVALS
Have you ever driven to Southern Minnesota to Wabasha? The same Wabasha that was feature in both of the Grumpy Old Men movies? You can even stop by and pick up a sweatshirt, have a drink and some food at Slippery's. But they also have a great Fall Festival. It's called SeptOberFest. And it happens over the next two weekends. September 27-28 and also October 4-5.
I absolutely love going to Stillwater. This, much like Wabasha, is such a cute storybook town. And they go all out for their Fall festivals too. There is the famous pumpkin regatta. You make a boat out of a pumpkin, and then row a course on the St. Croix. You really need a huge pumpkin for this event, obviously.
STILLWATER HARVEST FESTVAL
Besides the pumpkin regatta, there are several other things to enjoy too. This festival happens October 11-12. Here's a list of things to enjoy during the weekend. More info on this link.
Giant Pumpkin Weigh Off
Pumpkin Drop from 100' crane
Live Music
Beer & Wine Garden
Chili Cook Off
Vendor Market
Kid's Activities
WYKOFF FALL FEST
This one is also in Southern Minnesota. Wykoff is located near Rochester. It is scheduled for this upcoming weekend, September 26-28. There is a parade, a craft and vendor sale, some fun fundraising events, food trucks, and more! You can check out their website for more information.
TWIN CITIES HARVEST FESTIVAL AND MAZE
This one goes on for a few weekends and also during MEA in October. It's located in Brooklyn Park and has all kinds of events for the entire family. This event is not free, however. It's $18 per person for the day.
WHATS INCLUDED IN THE ADMISSION PRICE
There are also some other things that are available for a little more cash than those above. Plus, there are a couple of things that are free to anyone. Those are the Marketplace and also the pumpkin patch. But of course you will have to pay for the pumpkin you buy, and that is based on size.
It's officially Fall! So let's get out and enjoy what MInnesota has to offer!
