They were on the Oprah show back in 1996. And were also featured on their own TLC reality show "Abby and Brittany".  The show followed them as they were graduating from Bethel College in Arden Hills, and then traveled thoughout Europe.

Right now, the twins are teaching 5th grade at Sunnyside Elementary in New Brighton, Minnesota.

Recently, in 2021, Abby Hensel married Josh Bowling. This was reported by the Today show.  He is a nurse and an army veteran.  He has a child from a previous relationship.  So, immediately Abby is a stepmom.  And yes, I know that Abby is the one who got married, but they are both involved in everything. So, in essence, they are both married, because you cannot marry one without the other.  They make it work.

There is a wedding picture of them with Josh on their Facebook page.

Back when they were featured on the TLC show, their mother stated that the appropriate organs do work. This was after the girls said they have thought about having kids someday.  Abby controls the right side and Brittany controls the left side.

From People Magazine:

"People have been curious about us since we were born, for obvious reasons," the twins said in the first episode of the eight-part series, according to ABC. "But our parents never let us use that as an excuse. We were raised to believe we could do anything we wanted to do."

When they were born, the subject of separating them was brought up, but the likelihood of both of them surviving was low.  Their parents, Patty and Mike, decided against that because "how do you choose between the two?" Which is absolutely the truth.

Several news outlets have reached out to them, they have not responded.
