A GREAT PLACE FOR HEALTH
A recent study from SmileHub found Minnesota to be the fourth-best state in the USA for health based on factors like Community Health Baselines, Healthcare Access and Personal Health/Wellness Activity.
"To highlight the states that are most supportive of residents improving their health and wellness and the ones that need to improve the most, SmileHub compared each of the 50 states based on 23 key metrics," said SmileHub. "The data set ranges from the number of health & wellness charities per capita to the cost of a medical visit to public health funding per capita."
WE'RE #4!
Minnesota ranked #5 for life expectancy, #8 in both quality of public hospital system and in outdoor activity access; #9 in health and wellness charities per captia; #16 in physicians per capita and #20 in obesity rate. A ranking of #25 is average, with #1 being the best.
SmileHub estimates that 129 million people in the United States suffer from at least one major, chronic disease.
