Minnesota Songwriter Featured in Dodge Ram Commercial

It's cool to see a local kid do good!

The sah-WEEEET voice of Minnesotan-in-Nashville Duncan Vinje (VIN-jee) can be heard on Dodge's RAM 1500 RHO commercial, which stars Top Gun: Maverick actor Glen Powell.

Duncan Vinje escaped left the Brainerd Lakes Area for Nashville in October of 2020.

I asked Duncan how he got connected to the commercial:

"It’s somewhat anti-climatic, but my pal in L.A. asked if I’d be willing to sing on a project she was producing for a client. After a little back-and-forth, I tracked my vocal parts at home here in Nash. Sent them her way, and was fortunate enough to have Ram pick up our track. The internet, man. Haha."

It turns out that the internet IS good for something besides trolling and opinions: networking, baby!

Duncan hasn't forgotten his Minnesota roots, as evidenced by his stellar solo cover of John Prine's 'Crazy as a Loon'.
