Target Stops Price Match with Amazon and Walmart
If you like shopping at a certain place, a big box store, online or whatever the case may be, it's nice to have a price match from other place for the store where you prefer to shop. That way, you can be comfortable shopping where you want to while still being assured that you are still getting the best deal.
CURRENT PRICE MATCHING POLICY
Until now, Minnesota based Target stores would price match items that you also found through Amazon and/or Walmart.
We’ll match the price if you buy a qualifying item at Target and then find the identical item for less at Target.com, Amazon, Walmart or with a Target Circle™ deal (deals that apply automatically upon identifying yourself as a Target Circle member). Price matches may be requested at time of purchase or within 14 days after purchase.
That perk is ending on July 28th, which is next Monday.
NEW POLICY
As of Monday, if you find something online at Target.com or the other way around, they will price match that item when you purchase it. They are just not price matching with other stores.
If you think this is awful, you might want to take into consideration that neither Walmart or Amazon price matches anyone else. Walmart used to do that, but that policy ended a few years ago in 2019.
IS THIS A BIG DEAL
Is this change in policy a big deal to you? Is price matching a big deal? I find myself just buying what I need regardless of the price. I'm not one to drive all over to make sure I have the lowest price possible. And ordering online isn't always convenient. Instant gratification is sometimes a necessary thing. Sometimes.
