Minnesota Water Skiers Pick Up Awards
Members of a Central Minnesota Water Ski team earned podium finishes Friday at the I.W.W.F. World Water Ski Show in Mulwala, Australia.

Members of the Mid-West Ski Otters competed against other competitors from around the world and took second place in their respective categories.
If you’re not familiar with the Mid-West Ski Otters, they were formed in 1995 and have grown to over 150 members. Among other things, they put on summer performances for fans to watch them display their skills.
And even though the waters here in Minnesota are way too cold for water skiing, that doesn’t mean the Otters aren’t getting ready for the upcoming summers of their performances.
The schedule for their upcoming summer is found on their website. They start in June and run through August on Sunday’s. Most of the Ski Otters performances take place at Little Goose Lake in White Bear Lake Minnesota.
If you are good on your feet, or skis, there’s an opportunity to become a member of this longstanding group. The outline of how to make that happen can be found on their website.
Remember that I mentioned that the Sunday shows were “among the things” that the Ski Otters do. Another of which is offering lessons.
The team offers 2-day lessons and 1-day lessons, you can contact the team if you or someone you know would like to learn how to or get better at skiing on the water.
No matter if you want to learn to ski, or watch the talented skiers perform, this should give you something to look forward to.
Oh, and congratulations again to the Otters who won at the World Event.
