An annual tradition continues next week as The Minnesota Zoo provides free admission for military personnel; active, retired, or civilian.With proof of service, members of the military will receive half-priced zoo admission, and two for one IMAX tickets for themselves and their families. They'll also

get free parking, along with food and retail discounts.

Spokesperson for Camp Ripley, Maj. John Donovan, said in a press release;

“This is a great opportunity for our service-members, retirees and their families. The generosity of the Minnesota Zoo as well as other organizations that honor military members during the Fourth of July week is truly humbling and much appreciated.”

 

Along with the Minnesota Zoo’s usual attractions, participants will be able to see the summer blockbuster exhibit – Big Bugs!, the Aveda Butterfly Garden, and the Wings Financial World of Birds Show. Additionally, the Zoo’s new Conservation Carousel adds to the family-fun experience.
 Military Family Week at The Minnesota Zoo is next week, June 30 – July 6, 2014.
